REQUESTING TIME OFF & RETURN TO WORK
Procedure:
- Nurses and CNAs must submit their requests for time off/leave in writing to the staffing coordinators or on the Global Medical and Health Services website, at least 30 days prior to the requested time off if it is for 7 days or more.
- If multiple nurses are working on the same case and their time off requests overlap, they will be given time off on a “first-come, first-serve” basis. However, if multiple nurses request the same time off for the same case, only one nurse will be allowed to take that time off.
- To request a leave that is less than 7 days, you must provide a notice of at least one week in advance.
- Requests must have clear and specific information about the start and return dates.
- When the staffing department receives a time off request, they will send a confirmation message to the person who requested the time off to acknowledge the receipt of the request.
- Before considering the request for time off as approved, the requesting party should have received an approval notification from the Staffing Department.
- The freelance worker is required to get in touch with the staffing coordinators 24 hours prior to their scheduled work resumption, once they come back.
- In case the freelance worker doesn’t get in touch with the staffing coordinator, they will not be allowed to resume work.
- Violation of this policy can lead to disciplinary measures.
